Welcome back, Jana.

Prototype. Clips marked From Facebook are Jana's real public posts, playing through Facebook's own player. The rest are placeholder posters with a simulated transport. In the paid build every clip moves to Cloudflare Stream in Jana's own account — no Facebook branding, no login wall, and it keeps working if a post is ever taken down.

Reminders go by text and email, not push. Push on iPhone only fires if a student installed the app, and it is unreliable even then.

For Jana

What this costs, and what you actually get.

You are holding it. The tuner works. The exercises run. The videos play. Your students could be in it this week.

What follows is the difference between owning an app and running a school from your phone — and then a look at the back end, so you can see exactly what you would be sitting behind.

Option One

The Practice App

$4,000one time

Built, branded, handed to you. The keys are yours. No monthly to me, ever.

  • A working tuner on every student’s phone — the real thing, not a toy
  • Your exercise library, organised on your three pillars
  • Guided workout videos and Voice Notes
  • Your brand, installed to the home screen like a real app
  • Yours to keep. Nobody can switch it off.
What it will not do
  • No student sign-in. Anyone with the link is in, forever, free.
  • You cannot see who practised. You are teaching blind between lessons.
  • Progress lives on the student’s phone. New phone, fresh start.
  • No community. No booking. No payments.
  • When it breaks on a Tuesday night, it stays broken until you find someone.
This is not the option without a monthly. It is the option where the monthly is yours — roughly $35 for hosting, plus whatever you pay for booking.
You drive
Option Two

The Full Studio

Everything, self-managed
$8,000+ $199/month

The app, plus the entire business behind it. One roof. One login. One place where a stranger becomes a student and a student becomes a singer — and you are the one running it.

  • Everything in Option One, and then it keeps going
  • Your own private community for your students — yours, not Facebook’s
  • Student sign-in, so you know who is actually in there
  • A coach dashboard — who practised, who went quiet, whose range moved
  • Assign this week’s work from your phone, to one student or all of them
  • Your own admin back end. You publish new exercises and videos yourself, without waiting on me.
  • Booking, calendar, invoicing and card payments
  • Automatic reminders by text and email
  • Hosting, updates, and a human to call
What the $199 is, exactly It is hosting and your seat on the platform — the software stays up, secure and backed up, and your login works. It is not a support plan. There is no one to call. You run it yourself. When you want something built, changed, loaded or fixed, you ask, I quote it, and you decide. Nothing happens by surprise and nothing is billed without your yes.
Who this is for

The coach who likes her own dashboard. If you enjoy setting things up, this is the cheaper road and you keep the difference. If the phrase “go into the back end and change it” makes your stomach drop, read the next one.

By invitation
Option Three

The Partnership

Membership at Vine
$10,000+ $499/month

Everything in Option Two — and a team behind it. This is the one where you stop being the person who has to figure it out.

Why the build is $10,000 here: because it is two builds, not one. The app — loaded with your library, your automations and your community before you ever log in. And your entire website, rebuilt from scratch to match it. A website rebuild is normally its own engagement, quoted on its own. Here it sits inside the number.
  • Everything in Option Two — and this time you are not alone in it
  • Your whole website, rebuilt to match the app. Every page, not a reskin. Same type, same colours, same voice as the thing in your student’s hand. Off Wix, onto your own platform, with booking and payments wired straight in.
  • We load your content for you. You shoot it and send it. Exercises, videos, Voice Notes — they appear in the app. You never have to touch the back end unless you want to.
  • 45 minutes with me, every month. A standing call on your calendar. Strategy, planning, what is working, what to build next. Not support — direction.
  • VIP access to Vine Creative Studio. Priority on the calendar, first call on new slots, and a team that already knows your name.
  • 20% off every editing package on footage you shoot at Vine. Member pricing, for as long as you are a member.
  • We build and maintain your email and text campaigns — recital invites, win-backs, seasonal offers, kept current instead of written once and forgotten
  • A second coach seat when you are ready to hire. Your school grows, the app grows with it, no rebuild.
  • Real support, included. Call, email or text. Something broken, something you want moved, something you cannot find — the team fixes and adjusts it. You are not billed for asking.
What this is not Studio time, recording days, and video editing are not included. Shooting and editing are Vine studio work, booked and billed on their own. Your membership gets you priority access and 20% off production — not free production. We also do not write, schedule or manage your social media at any tier.
Who this is for

The coach who is already full, and whose time is worth more than the difference. You sing, you teach, you tell us what you want — and somebody else does the rest.

Included in Two and Three

Your own room.
Not a Facebook group.

Right now your students live in somebody else’s feed — next to ads, reels, and three hundred people who are not singing. This is a private community inside your app, with your name on the door.

Only your students. No algorithm deciding who sees you. No strangers. No ads. They post their wins. First time through the break. A recording from the car. A nervous clip before an audition. You answer once and thirty people learn. The question one student asks on Tuesday teaches the whole room. Free members see a slice. The Growing Room sits in there as your open door — which is how a stranger becomes a student. Challenges and streaks live here. Thirty days of breath work, together, with a board everyone can see. It is yours. Nobody can change the rules, throttle your reach, or switch it off.
Students who make friends inside a community do not quit. That is not a feature. That is your retention.
Included in Option Three

One brand.
Both front doors.

Right now your website and your app would look like two different companies that happen to share a name. Different type, different colours, different voice. A parent who finds you on Google and then opens the app should never feel the seam.

Every page rebuilt, not reskinned. Home, about, lessons, events, shop, gift cards, contact. All of it, from scratch. The same type, colours and words as the app. Set in the same faces, built on the same palette, written in the same voice. Your prices on the front page. Where a parent actually looks for them, instead of three clicks into a Services tab. The $35 assessment as the front door. One low, easy yes that puts a stranger in front of you. Booking and payments wired straight in. They pick a slot and pay without ever leaving the page. The app on the homepage. Nobody else in Long Island hands a student a working tuner. That should be the first thing people see. Off Wix. Your platform, your domain, your control — and no more template links pointing at somebody else’s YouTube.
Most coaches have a website and an app that look like strangers. Yours will finish each other’s sentences.
Inside Options Two and Three

The part you cannot see from the outside.

Most coaches stitch this together from five services and a spreadsheet. You would have it in one.

Every student in one list Students, parents, old enquiries, the woman who messaged in March and never booked. One record each, with every text, email and lesson attached. You stop losing people in your DMs.
They book themselves Your real availability, online. They pick a slot, it lands on your calendar, they get the confirmation. No more four messages to find a Tuesday. This replaces what you pay Wix for.
Invoices and card payments Send an invoice from your phone and get paid to your account. Put a student on monthly auto-pay and stop chasing. Take deposits for recital seats.
Your private community The room above — members, posts, replays, challenges and your free tier, all inside your own app instead of somebody else’s platform.
Your website, under the same roof Pages, booking links and landing pages that talk to everything else. Or keep your current site — it still connects.
Two apps, not one Theirs is the practice app you are holding. Yours is the business app — messages, calendar, payments and students, in your pocket, at the grocery store.
Texting that actually gets read Lesson reminders, “you haven’t sung in five days”, recital details. Two-way — they reply, and it lands in the same inbox as everything else. Texts and emails are metered. Billed at cost, not included — you will always see exactly what you used.
Email that does the follow-up for you Newsletters, recital invitations, and the quiet one that goes to students who stopped coming. Written once, sent forever.
Gift cards A mother buys three lessons for her daughter at Christmas. A student gifts a friend a month. Money in now, lessons delivered later — and a new person on your list who did not find you themselves.
Intake forms and consent New student questionnaire, parental consent for minors, post-recital feedback. Answers land on their record instead of in a notebook.
Reviews, asked for automatically After a lesson that went well, the ask goes out on its own. Google reviews are how the next parent finds you.
The automations underneath New enquiry → welcome text → booking link → app invite → reminder the night before → review request after. Built once. It runs while you teach.
Numbers you can act on Where students came from. Who is practising and who is not. What a recital actually earned. Both halves on one screen — the business side and the singing side. Nothing else you can buy shows you both.
Mockup note — remove before Jana sees this: the monthly numbers live in one place each. Search $199 and $499. The metered-messaging callout and the capped content allowance are deliberate — they are what protect the margin. The Option Three exclusion box is the expectation-management language you asked for.

Dee is the point. She is paid up and she has not sung in three weeks. In a normal month you find that out when she cancels. Here you find out on a Tuesday, and you send one text.

Live. Every student has it on their Train tab right now, with the reference tones already built from your pattern. That took you a minute and cost you nothing.

On Option Three we do this for you. You shoot it, send it, and it is in the app — you never open this screen unless you feel like it.

The business half.

Same screen as the singing half. That is the part nobody else gives you.

Watering the seeds of creativity.

What changed, and why

  • The headline is a sentence now, not a search term. Right now the first thing on your page reads “Mustardseed Vocal Coaching | vocal coach near me”. That is a search-engine tag that escaped into the page. Keep it in the code where Google reads it. A person needs a reason.
  • Your prices moved to the front. $139, $169, $189 are good, specific numbers sitting on a Services page nobody clicks. Price is the first thing a parent looks for. Making them hunt for it costs you the ones who would have said yes.
  • The $35 assessment is the front door. That is your real conversion — a low, easy first yes that puts a stranger in front of you. It should be the loudest button on the page, not a line item.
  • Sir Tim Rice came out of the About page. You studied under the man who wrote The Lion King. Almost no vocal coach in Long Island can say that. It is sitting in paragraph four.
  • The app is now a reason to choose you. Nobody else in your market hands a student a working tuner. Put it on the homepage and it stops being a nice extra and starts being why they pick you.
  • One small thing to fix today: the YouTube icon in your footer points at youtube.com/user/Wix — the template placeholder. It has been sending your visitors to Wix.

The honest part.

Option One is cheaper on day one and more expensive by year two — not in money, in the hours you spend being your own IT department, and in the students who drift because nobody noticed they stopped.

Option Two gives you every tool and no hands. The $199 keeps the lights on and hands you the keys — it does not buy you a person. That is the honest trade, and for a coach who likes her own dashboard it is the right one.

Option Three is the same app with a team attached to it — and a second build sitting next to it. Support included, content loaded for you, a standing call, a door into the studio, and your whole website rebuilt to match. The $300 a month is the difference between asking and doing. The $2,000 up front is a website.

Most people should look hard at Three. Not because it is more expensive — because the thing that kills apps like this is not a bug. It is a busy coach who never got round to logging in.

You are not buying an app. You are buying back the twenty minutes a day you currently spend on everything that is not singing.

Before you decide — the things people forget to mention

  1. The website rebuild covers the pages you have today — home, about, lessons, events, shop, gift cards and contact — rebuilt with your existing photos and your copy rewritten. New photography and video are studio work. A blog, a full product catalogue, or a members' area beyond the app's own community are scoped separately.
  2. Studio days are separate at every tier. Recording your exercises, workouts and Voice Notes is Vine studio work, booked and billed on its own. Option Three gets priority access and 20% off editing — not free shoots.
  3. We do not run your social media. Not at any tier. If that changes, it will be a separate conversation with its own price.
  4. Texts and emails are metered. Billed at cost and passed straight through. A busy month costs more than a quiet one. You will always see the number.
  5. Option Two includes no labour at all. The $199 is hosting and your platform seat. Every piece of work — loading content, fixing something, building something new, training — is quoted and billed separately. You will never get an invoice you did not agree to first.
  6. “Included” on Option Three means fixes, adjustments, content loading and campaign upkeep. Brand-new features are still scoped and quoted — at member pricing, and your request goes to the front of the queue.
  7. The app store is not in here. This installs to the home screen from a link and behaves like a real app. Putting it in Apple’s store is a separate conversation, with separate fees and Apple’s cut on every sale.
  8. You can move up, not sideways. Start at Two and go to Three whenever you are ready. Starting at One and rebuilding into Two later costs more than starting at Two.
